RESERVISTS AT KEMPTON PARK SAPS

 

The reservists at Kempton Park makes a valuable contribution with regards to meeting the policing needs of the Kempton Park area. As this is a voluntary service their commitment and dedication to the prevention of crime is highly commendable. Currently there are 34 members working at Kempton Park SAPS but the ideal number would be 150 members.  

To join the reservist you must have the following qualifications :

Qualifications

    Matric ( Grade 12 ) .

    Bilingual ( Afrikaans + English - Write & Read ).

     Between 18 & 65 years old.

    Must pass a medical examination.

    People under 21 years of age must have the consent of their parents

    If married your spouse must give his/her approval.

    Legal drivers license code 08 or higher.

 

Duty Conditions

    Must complete the ± 6 months training.

    Must work a minimum of 8 hours a month

    Must attend the Monthly Reservist meeting

    No payment will be given to a reservist.

    Uniform will be supplied to you.

 

Training

    All the different duty's concerning the Community Service Centre.

    How to attend complaints ( vehicle patrols ).

    You must complete a SWAT ( Special Weapons and Ammunition Training ) course.
